3 Easy Ways to Learn Meditation

Meditation is more than a process to connect your soul and body. It is a process through which you get to know yourself, and gain control over your emotions. Of course, meditation is not easy. It takes years to master and it is a process through which you are continuously learning. So if you are someone who hasn’t done meditation before and wants to, or someone who recently started doing meditation and wants to be better, here are some easy ways to do it:
1. Prepare Your Body
The first thing that you should do in order to meditate properly is to prepare your body. You cannot begin meditation immediately after sitting; you have to prepare your body for it. Sit comfortably, put your body at ease, take deep breaths, and observe it. When you feel slightly relaxed, gradually close your eyes and begin meditation.
2. Create a Space
You cannot do meditation everywhere. Even if you can meditate silently in a place of disturbance, it means you have mastered it; however, this is not how you begin. Find a silent spot in your house, or the one with minimum noise and meditate there. Observe the sounds around you, but do not let them disturb you.
3. Let Go of Yourself
The ideal way to begin meditation is to take deep breaths and then observe it, subsequently slowly closing your eyes. In meditation you learn to let go of all thoughts for a while and free your mind from stress. It will be difficult in the beginning to keep your mind free. So let go of your mind, and let it wander. After sometime, bring your mind back and observe your breaths again. This way, you learn to balance between letting go of your mind and controlling it as well.

Meditation can be an arduous task. However, if it is laborious and exhausting, you are not meditating properly.
